This section describes the method RestorSignal applies to verify that a backup can actually be restored. It covers how a run unfolds, how an individual result is qualified, how those results combine into an evidence level, and what RestorSignal ultimately documents in an evidence package.

The method described here is grounded in the RS-RVP reference framework, RestorSignal's normative source of truth (see Reference framework) — this section explains it in accessible terms, never as a second, competing definition.
